Snakehead Fish on textured paper
SNAKEHEADS!! Love 'em or hate 'em - they seem to be here to stay. Some think they are ugly, I think they can be beautiful. The smaller ones have the prettiest colors. Some are army green, some are grey, some are gold. The larger ones are darker. All agree - they are great eating!
This original was printed in the indirect method on silk, then the silk was pasted on mulberry paper with organic pieces of leaves in it. Thanks to Alex Little who graciously gave us this and other fish to print and eat. I have to admit - I was intimidated to start such a complicated fish. The colors are done scale by scale.
